Built in Tanzania · Serving Africa and beyond

We build the capacity of people and organisations
to perform, innovate, and grow.

UWEZO AFRIKA Capacity Development Center equips individuals and organisations with practical skills, systems, and solutions in training, data, technology, artificial intelligence, research, and knowledge development. Built in Tanzania and serving Africa and beyond, we combine professional learning with applied services that help people and institutions strengthen performance, make better decisions, innovate, and grow.

Mission

"We build data-driven organisations through their people, their systems, and their evidence."

We help government, NGOs, startups, and corporates turn data into decisions by combining advanced analytics, AI innovation, professional training, and high-quality documentation. We train. We analyse. We build. We document. And we prove it worked, not by counting activities, but by measuring what changed. Every engagement begins with a clear baseline. Three months after we finish, we return to confirm the change held.

Vision

"A continent of organisations and individuals strong enough to solve their own problems, measure their own results, and lead their own growth."

Not dependent on outside help. Not lacking for the skills, tools, or evidence to act. This is what data-driven looks like. Not just having data, but having the people and systems to make it mean something.

What we stand for in practice.

Practicality

We teach and deliver what people can use on Monday morning, in their specific context, with their actual data and systems. Not theory. Not generic frameworks.

Integrity

We tell clients the truth, including when the data says something they did not expect. Honest analysis and honest reporting. Even when it is not the answer they hoped for.

Relevance

Everything is built for this context. Not copied from Western textbooks and adapted poorly. Our tools, examples, and approaches fit where we work and who we serve.

Results

We measure before and after every engagement. We return three months later to confirm the change lasted. We do not count activities. We count what changed.

Inclusion

We serve institutions of all sizes and individuals at all stages. A student learning data skills and an international NGO redesigning its MEL system receive the same quality of work.

Excellence

We hold ourselves to international standards because our clients face international scrutiny. USAID evaluations. World Bank assessments. Academic peer review. We deliver work that passes.

Assess. Build. Sustain. Prove.

We do not run a workshop and leave. Three steps and a confirmation three months later.

1

Assess

Before we suggest anything, we understand the real situation. For organisations, that means a structured gap assessment. For individuals, a conversation about where you are and where you need to be. No guessing.

2

Build and Sustain

We deliver training, analysis, systems, or knowledge products. We stay alongside until the work is done properly and embedded into your organisation. We do not hand over and disappear.

3

Prove it Held

Three months after we finish, we return. Did the skills transfer? Are the systems still running? We test again, compare results, and report honestly. This is not standard practice in our sector. It is ours.

Practitioners, not generalists.

Our lead practitioners are named in every proposal and present in every engagement. You will always know who is working on your project.

We work in English and Kiswahili. We can engage communities, conduct training, facilitate interviews, and write documents in either language. This is a practical advantage over international firms whose staff work only in English — and it matters when you are working with government staff, community health workers, or rural field teams.

When you engage UWEZO AFRIKA, you work directly with the specialist who assessed your problem and designed the solution. We do not assign junior staff after the contract is signed.

We maintain a network of over 15 associate specialists across East Africa, covering statistics, health informatics, agricultural data, development finance, AI engineering, curriculum design, and technical writing. Detailed CVs of all specialists assigned to your engagement are provided with every proposal.
